Dr. Yvonne Chen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Yvonne Chen is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She earned her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Alberta, where she studied recognition memory using EEG. She then completed postdoctoral research at Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on intracranial EEG and fMRI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


At the NeuroMEM Lab<\/strong>, Dr. Chen investigates how the brain encodes, consolidates, and retrieves memories. Her team integrates EEG and fMRI with computational modeling to capture the dynamic neural processes that make memories strong and lasting. The lab also explores how mental imagery, such as visual and motor imagery, engages memory-related brain systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Outside the lab, Yvonne enjoys endurance cycling, hiking, and experimenting with new recipes in her kitchen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
